About Me
I’m a game developer, designer, and director, best known as a founding member and 12-year veteran of Night School Studio, a beloved narrative game company known for groundbreaking and heartfelt narrative adventures like OXENFREE, Afterparty, and Unhinged.
I specialize in gameplay design and programming, holistic production methods, and narrative-driven games.
Night School closed in August 2026, and I’m currently looking for new work. I’m happy to discuss contract, permanent, full-time, or part-time work, and am eager to contribute to indie and AA studios working on cool shit.
What I Do
-
I’ve turned my brain-sponge full of game development knowledge and muscles flexed for team leadership and guidance into my primary career path. In my two rounds so far at directing, I have taken a hands-on approach to ensuring a game ships at a high quality while still building more autonomous, passionate, knowledgeable teams.
-
I’m ready to take your game’s emotional impact to the next level. From walkie-talkies to beer pong to subversive city builders, I’ve built my career on designing game systems that players feel, that writers and narrative designers wield, and that stand out in a sea of genre titles.
-
I started as a programmer focusing on game systems, game feel, and player interfaces, and have 16 years of experience building compelling game experiences with complex systems quickly.
-
My in-the-trenches experience combined with my project leadership perspective has made me adept at designing production pipelines and frameworks that get games done. Balancing effort, importance to the vision, and interdependencies has been built in to my process as a director and uncredited producer.
Is. Sequel. Possible.
